Thanks to Gacki and Apple assistance I now have Logic Pro X 10.5.1 running on Mojave 10.14.6 on a 2012 MacBook Pro. I was very surprised and pleased with the great assistance I received from Apple. I obtained telephone help by first opening a chat contact which eventually (efficiently) led to being able to speak to a Logic Pro specialist. I was walked through this solution by an Apple Logic Pro specialist via telephone help. (Send to Trash Bin and then Emptied the bin.)īefore deleting my installed Logic Pro X and emptying the bin I compressed my installed version of Logic Pro X as a back up. Despite restarts and many other tests nothing resolved the issue until I deleted my installed Logic Pro X version. Clicking on the Download button did nothing other than to bounce the dialogue box up out of sight and down again. Prior to deleting my installed Logic Pro X I was being offered the upgrade (via the steps set out by Gacki) but when the upgrade button (no cloud symbol) was clicked the dialogue box which opened offered Cancel or Download. In addition to the steps set put by Gacki I found I had to delete my installed version of Logic Pro X to allow the cloud symbol at the stage of being offered an upgrade to the latest working version matching my OSx. Bummed I can’t use 10.6 (Mojave, don’t want to move) but loving it so far with my SSL Native theme. Long time Ableton user finally jumping on the train. Not as straightforward as one would wish for, but it's still there.ģ. but this seems to work only if the "old" Logic application was deleted otherwise it gets into an endless loop clicking that button again informs us that we can't run the current version but also offers us to download the last working versionĨ. and surprise: instead of the "open" button there's now an "update" buttonħ. clicking the "back" arrow in the upper left corner brings us back to the "my account" pageĦ. clicking that button informs us bluntly that we can't run the current version (and also offers no other version) so we dismiss this dialogĥ. clicking on the icon itself brings us the App Store entry for Logic this one has an "update" button in the upper right cornerĤ. next to the Logic icon there's a field "open" this just opens the application which is not what we wantģ. Go to App Store -> My account your previously bought application will be shownĢ. (my system uses German so probably the function names will be different)ġ. Not sure if Apple came back to its senses or if this is just a nasty bug in the App Store. ![]()
